Nintendo Switch Meets Independent Games

Read about the excitement in store for the Nintendo Switch after our refreshing meeting with the original Nintendo worlds.

After having spent a good bit of time using the Switch with original Nintendo games like Zelda Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe we can only hint at how unique and boundary-pushing the Nintendo Switch console really is. We can’t wait to enjoy spending more time with this thing!

We felt the nostalgia

While our previous experience with Zelda is embarrassingly slim, we were truly stunned by the sheer scale and level of detail to every area of the map. The Nintendo Switch con sole exceeds expectations and happily caters for many hours of fun spent defending the huge kingdom of Hyrule and unearthing its secrets.

Both games are without a doubt absolutely classic Nintendo games. With more titles to look forward to such as Super Mario Odyssey and Ultra Street Fighter II, paired with the enhanced interaction of the Switch, console gaming is about to get a lot more interesting.

What’s to come

Well, we’ve come a long way from the days of the Gameboy. We can look forward to a selection of titles from independent games developers. Known as the showcase of the “Nindies”. Nintendo have made an exciting decision to make independent games a hallmark of the Switch.

This new approach will boast work from small and large scale producers and publishers including: Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers by Capcom, Portal Knights and Even The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is confirmed.

After experiencing original racing and role playing games for Nintendo on the Switch, it is clear that the powerful graphics, versatility and dynamic of this console will make it an a worthy and even ideal platform for many gamers and games producers alike.
